Community Technology Cooperative (CTC), a nonprofit healthcare technology organization dedicated to advancing health equity and value-based care through innovative technology solutions, announces the successful Epic go-lives of High-Country Community Health and First Choice Community Health in North Carolina. These implementations represent CTC’s first expansion outside Massachusetts and a significant milestone in extending enterprise healthcare technology and shared services to community health centers nationwide.
These go-lives mark the successful deployment of CTC’s comprehensive healthcare technology platform, anchored by Epic and supported by an ecosystem of more than twenty other enterprise technology solutions that support clinical, operational, financial, dental, pharmacy, population health, and reporting functions across community health centers.
For Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), access to enterprise-level healthcare technology has historically been constrained by financial, staffing, and operational challenges. Through its shared services model, CTC helps health centers overcome these barriers by providing access to advanced technology, vendor management, implementation expertise, technical support, strategic guidance, and ongoing operational services that would otherwise be difficult for individual organizations to sustain independently.
The successful transitions at High-Country Community Health and First Choice Community Health underscore the growing demand for collaborative technology models that allow community health centers to access advanced tools and capabilities while remaining focused on their core mission of delivering high-quality care to underserved populations.

Today, CTC supports fifteen community health centers, three pharmacies, and twelve dental practices. Collectively, these organizations serve more than 260,000 unique patients annually, facilitate approximately 1.3 million patient visits each year, and dispense more than 300,000 medications annually.
